Introducing The Future State Of Mobile Phones 📱
Nick and I wanted to challenge ourselves this week on a topic that will impact everyone’s lives. The thing that everyone has in their pocket or their bag or more likely in their hand. Yes, the mobile phone.
Whether you are Team Apple or Team Android the next shift in devices and device types will impact our lives and it will re-shape our lives as a society. For what the phone did for our lives, the watch did for our health, is the next device going to help improve mental and physical health at the same time?
What Has Happened?
Timing: With the latest iPhone releases & latest iOS updates, we are seeing devices become more useful and more personalised, we are looking at the best ever devices and they are getting smarter for us as users and for the businesses connected to them.
Major Milestone Hit! TikTok hitting 1b users in record time - it wouldn't have ever been possible without the smartphones and the addiction engines that they are to us now.
As we previously discussed, is AR / VR the future? Is it feasible really?
There has been a lot of talk around the metaverse and the future of living in a metaverse, but will a mobile device be essential in this always-on digital world?
FYI if you listen on Spotify, we have enabled questions and polls, let us know if you answered 👏.
Why Listen Today?
Handset Future The Same As Past? Are we going to be seeing the same trend moving forward, a standout release each year and the same cycle?
Flip? Will flip phones be the future or is it just the nostalgia cycle?
Too Busy With Cars? I point out Google’s team are working on Android OS for cars and not dedicating the same resources to the phone OS
Headsets? As we previously discussed, is AR / VR the future? Is it feasible really? We discuss this and Nick provides a surprising answer.
Parenting Vs Over Share-ents: Nick vents about bad parenting and why devices are running boredom - is this right?
Share-ents: And parents who overshare their children live on social networks.
Meta what? There has been a lot of talk around the metaverse and the future of living in a metaverse, but will a mobile device be essential in this always-on digital world?
Insight Of The Week: Find out that Jack Dorsey (Twitter & Square CEO) only uses his mobile device never uses a PC or laptop.
Here is the moment Steve Jobs and Apple changed the world back in 2007
